In the greek myth The Iliad all of the people glorify the gods. The gods in the story are honored as a result of being immortal and having powers not capable to mortal. For instance the almighty Zeus has the gift to change a person's fate, which typically is determined by the gods. No human is capable of such. In fact if the people did not glorify the gods their fate would be atrocious. The people in greek tales honored the bold and strong, the humans that show characteristics not known to man and impossible. Being honored in today's world is nothing compared to in the Greek myths. Today people see that if not standing for the National Anthem, a Hymn created for our Country as praise, as a freedom of speech. If the Greeks and the Gods were here today they would be laughing at us because of our choices of glory. Glory will forever be modifying in an ever changing world.
