In history, Mexican was the largest population on the immigration waiting lists of United States. However, it is noteworthy that during current wave of immigration especially in the last past five years, immigrants from Asian countries are increasing dramatically and slightly surpassed Hispanics immigrants. Census Bureau shows that, from 2010 to 2013, there are approximately 44 percent of the immigrations are from Asian countries whereas there are only 38 percent from Mexico and other South America countries. Most of the Asian immigrants are from China and India and are employment immigrants with education background and technology skills. Wall Street Journal also indicates that there is an increasing number of immigrants move to the United States to study, work and unite with families. Moreover, immigrants from China now has topped those from Mexico. According to Pew Research Center, the Asian immigration numbers have been boosted by increases in visas granted to specialized workers and to wealthy investors as the United States economy became driven less by manufacturing and more technology.
