Globalization 101 Website Summary

The Globalization 101 website, is an educational website that promotes an understanding of globalization and addresses a number of issues. One of their goals is to attempt to provide an explanation of the definition of globalization especially when there are multiple different answers for the meaning of globalization without the existence of a single concrete answer. Secondly, the website provides information and interdisciplinary learning opportunities by challenging the audience to think about the many controversies surrounding globalization. Lastly, the website’s goal is to serve as an informative and engaging space for those interested in the topic of globalization. In relevance to the course, sociology of globalization, the Globalization 101 website relates to sub-theme discussed during class regarding theories and discourses of the Global System.
