Global Warming Essay
Dr. Anne Carr
Global Warming: An accelerated issue.
One of the biggest and most upcoming issues that the world has to face nowadays is global warming. Many scientists that study this matter, manifest that our contribution to the production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases is having a heating effect on our atmosphere; in other words, they are stating that we humans are somewhat responsible for this issue. This essay will analyze three causes: the lack of evidence, how long has it been happening and finally, how responsible are we?
To start off, the lack of knowledge about this subject will be considered. A lot of people might have heard about global warming, perhaps on the news, television …show more content…
Furthermore, there is the doubt on whether we humans are responsible or not, and if so, how much damage are we really doing? According to the website epa.gov, they manifest the following: “Over the past century, human activities have released large amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The majority of greenhouse gases come from burning fossil fuels to produce energy, although deforestation, industrial processes, and some agricultural practices also emit gases into the atmosphere.” As we can see we are indeed responsible for the recent and immoral changes in our climate. Perhaps hundreds of years ago the changes in the climate were not as bad and as damaging. But now it is a different story, studies and evidence show that our everyday actions are greatly contributing to global warming.
In conclusion, global warming is such a serious issue that everybody should pay more attention to it. We as humans are possibly unconsciously doing a lot of damage to our planet. There is evident lack of knowledge about global warming. But if more concrete information is spread around the globe, this problem can sure be considered and therefore taken more seriously. Climate changes have been there for as long as the planet has existed. However, the
