Have You guys ever heard a “Butterfly effect”? There’s a lot of versions but here is mine. Let’s say there is a butterfly flapping its wings in Russia today can make it rain in Vernon on Sunday. It just a concept that one small action can result in a huge change. Here is another example let’s say vehicles driving on highways right now are causing animals living in north pole to lose their life through melting of ice sheets. This is global warming.
Today, I’ll be talking about what global warming is and what causes it, how it affects us, and what we can do to help it.

At the Paris climate summit in 2015, 195 countries signed a historic agreement to reduce their carbon emissions, with the goal of limiting future warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius.”(www.nrdc.org) It’s a big step in the right direction. But it’s not enough therefore, we all have to contribute to solving this cause. The goal is simple. Carbon dioxide is the climate’s worst enemy. It is released when oil, coal, and other fossil fuel are burned for energy that is used to power our cars, homes, etc. If we start using less of these things we will be contributing to stopping global warming and we will also save money in the process. For example, power your homes with renewable energy like solar or wind. Use less heat in your homes. You can seal draft and ensure its adequately insulated. Furthermore, when shopping for new appliances like washing machine looks for energy star label.it will tell you which is most energy efficient appliance. Also, buy better bulbs. LED light bulbs use up to 80 percent less of energy than normal bulbs and they are also cheap in a long run. Drive a fuel-efficient vehicle like hybrids and electrical vehicles and if you have normal fuel vehicle then I would say use it when it 's only necessary or otherwise you can always take a city bus. Another thing that we can do is be more careful about leaving things turned on like the tv , computer, and lights. A lot of people are taking time away from the television, and instead, they are spending more time outdoors. This helps our planet out a lot. Also, tell others about ways to reduce global warming and how they can

Global warming in its broad meaning is the increase of the average of air temperature near the Earth 's surface. This is a natural process, which started about 18,000 years ago. During this time, large territories were covered by huge ice glaciers and world temperature was about 18 degrees Celsius below zero. That was the real Ice Age, lasting for many thousands of years. The problem of global warming, or to be more precise the problem of human contribution into this natural phenomenon, was addressed officially, when industrial nations made pledges to reduce…
