As more greenhouse gases are let out into the atmosphere, our planet is getting …show more content…
Due to the different climates in regions, areas of the world are affected differently. The IPCC’s research shows that temperatures in every area of the world are increasing. From the years 1900 to 2000, the global ocean temperature increased by approximately half a degree celsius. Global land temperatures also increased, but the results were significantly more than global ocean temperatures. So what is the cause of all of this? There are many different reasons why temperatures are increasing. For example, asteroids have a huge impact on earth. Even though asteroids are not very common, when they do collide with earth, they can increase temperatures from their collision. Another main reason is the emission of greenhouse gases. As mammals breathe, they inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. Since carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, it enters the atmosphere whenever we breathe. Lastly, ocean currents can bring heat to the poles. As the currents move, they are carrying heat within them, and as they move towards the poles, they may heat the poles more. All of these factors have impacts on global warming, and it is becoming a very serious
