A Big Cause Of Global Warming

When most people think of global warming, they think of just weather. Well I use to think global warming was just having to do with nature and the weather. By the end of this essay lets see what my view on global warming changes to. Well, global warming is an increase in the average temperature of the earths atmosphere, especially an increase great enough to make a change in the global climate. The rise of earths temperature is due to the increase in Carbon Dioxide (CO2). One of the biggest issues facing us in life is global warming. Global warming is a large environmental issue that causes various problems. A big cause of global warming is our thoughtless attitude of nature. A main cause of global warming is humans. In this essay I will explain …show more content…
Deforestation is an a prominent cause of global warming. The deforestation of trees means there 's less trees to soak up carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. This hurts the air and us. Deforestation includes cutting trees down for paper and coal. Also houses and other items, small and large, are being built with wood. For example, benches, chairs tables, swings, and taking acres of woods out, etc. We use wood as a main resource in life. Fossil fuels are another big leading cause of global warming. What makes fossil fuels a big cause of global warming is the burning of fossil fuels. When people burn fossil fuels it sends out large amounts of Carbon Dioxide into the air. Carbon dioxide is bad for the Ozone layer, it causes sun rays to heat up the earth even more. Another leading cause of global warming is those devices that get us around town, vehicles. Vehicles are a big leading cause of global warming. Vehicles burn gas, which sends fumes into the atmosphere. Companies are trying to make more fuel efficient cars. There is more Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere today than at any point in the last 800,000 years. We can help a lot by not …show more content…
Theses scientist believes that global warming is due to natural causes more than to human causes. Some people believe the climate data that has been collected is not enough to show that there is a rise in global temperatures. Other scientists believe that there are those so eager to find signs of global warming, they are not taking in data with an objective mind. And still others say that global warming is just a natural climate shift and that plants and animals can 't adapt to such a shift. And it 's not just the science that 's being debated. Lawmakers are also in disagreement over whether the costs to implement global warming policy is worth the risks that global warming potentially poses. Many believe the legislation could eliminate jobs and even if the United States changes energy policies, it does not guarantee that other countries that pose environmental threats would do the same. Resent research shows that 23% of people believe that global warming is not happening at all. 63% of people do believe in global warming. The number of people who believe global warming isn 't happening has risen to 23%, up 7 percentage points since April 2013. 53% of people are

Greenhouse gases are the main cause of global warming. Human beings have raised carbon dioxide in the atmosphere with their activities, such as deforestation, and burning fossil fuels. The other major causes of global warming is population growth, pollution, and industrialization. These changes are resulting rise in sea level, melting glaciers, damage of the ozone layer, unseasonable rains, and also increasing many other environmental problems. Impacts of global warming can be seen in countries like Australia and New Zealand.…

“The change of the earth surfaces, by agriculture and forestry, by urbanisation or by industries activity, is correlated with the heat balance of the earth atmosphere-interface. In terms of its influence on climate, deforestation and afforestation are among the most effective changes in land use” (Baumgartner). When these trees are being destroyed, they cause pollution by the gases they release while being cut down. This puts excess carbon dioxide into the environment. Pollution is also caused by the machines that are used to massively wipe out these areas.…

These are the significant driving factors in global warming. According to Global Warming from Encyclopedia of Global Warming and Climate Change “Many human processes ranging from industry, transportation, power stations, agriculture, fossil fuel development and usage, to residential and commercial activities have variously led to the production of high amounts of greenhouse gases.” b. For centuries, the production and absorption of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases was in balance. But in the last century, human activity has overwhelmed the Earth’s natural feedback mechanism. As a result it has caused global climate change which is taking place and effecting the environment.…

However humans entail a greater risk towards the planet than both volcanic eruptions and changes in solar activity. To summarize, both human and natural causes affect our planet, however it is apparent that human causes are leading in this. With the burning of fossil fuels in our cars and in our manufacturing industries, we leave a huge impact on our environment. Natural causes do take their toll but pale in comparison to our own. We have the ability to decrease our own output drastically, all we must do is…
