Deforestation is an a prominent cause of global warming. The deforestation of trees means there 's less trees to soak up carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. This hurts the air and us. Deforestation includes cutting trees down for paper and coal. Also houses and other items, small and large, are being built with wood. For example, benches, chairs tables, swings, and taking acres of woods out, etc. We use wood as a main resource in life. Fossil fuels are another big leading cause of global warming. What makes fossil fuels a big cause of global warming is the burning of fossil fuels. When people burn fossil fuels it sends out large amounts of Carbon Dioxide into the air. Carbon dioxide is bad for the Ozone layer, it causes sun rays to heat up the earth even more. Another leading cause of global warming is those devices that get us around town, vehicles. Vehicles are a big leading cause of global warming. Vehicles burn gas, which sends fumes into the atmosphere. Companies are trying to make more fuel efficient cars. There is more Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere today than at any point in the last 800,000 years. We can help a lot by not …show more content…
Theses scientist believes that global warming is due to natural causes more than to human causes. Some people believe the climate data that has been collected is not enough to show that there is a rise in global temperatures. Other scientists believe that there are those so eager to find signs of global warming, they are not taking in data with an objective mind. And still others say that global warming is just a natural climate shift and that plants and animals can 't adapt to such a shift. And it 's not just the science that 's being debated. Lawmakers are also in disagreement over whether the costs to implement global warming policy is worth the risks that global warming potentially poses. Many believe the legislation could eliminate jobs and even if the United States changes energy policies, it does not guarantee that other countries that pose environmental threats would do the same. Resent research shows that 23% of people believe that global warming is not happening at all. 63% of people do believe in global warming. The number of people who believe global warming isn 't happening has risen to 23%, up 7 percentage points since April 2013. 53% of people are
