According to the National Association of Scholars, and estimated 40 percent of scientist doubt manmade global warming. An atmospheric physicist, and founder of the Science and Environmental Policy Project said, “The number of skeptical qualified scientists has been growing steadily; I would guess it is about 40% now (nas.org/articles/Estimated_40_Percent_of_Scientists_Doubt_Manmade_Global_Warming). The Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change, published Climate Change Reconsidered, an 880-page report on scientific research that contradicts the models of man-made global warming. Like Trump, the group believes that human contributions are minimal.
There was a study led by Duke University that questioned global warming and they determined that there is an explanation for so called “global warming.” The earth has “natural variability in surface temperatures” that could explain study also found that these minor “climate wiggles” could, in the future, cause the planet to warm up faster than anticipated …show more content…
I believe that climate change is real (https://www.factcheck.org/2016/11/the-candidates-on-climate-change/).”
The scientific community, as reported by the National Aeronautic and Space Association, “has reached a strong consensus that global temperatures are rising rapidly as a direct result of billions of tons of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions from human-made sources.” NASA also indicates that climate-warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities (http://climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus/).
I think both candidates would agree that climatologists, ecologists, geologists, etc., recognize that the earth has gone through significant temperature/climate changes in the past. However, even the scientist disagree. Despite the fact that these climate changes were obviously not caused by human activity in the past, many of these same scientists are convinced that human activity is the primary cause of climate change today. How do they explain past changes, then? Also, through my readings, I find that the “threat” may involve data manipulations that appear to be accepted by some politicians. It is only when I see the complete, honest, non-manipulated picture that I would be persuaded to accept global warming
