Effects of Global Warming Due to Deforestation
Deforestation is one of the main causes of CO2 emissions in the world. The tearing down of trees and forests are leaving a lasting effect on our earth and the atmosphere. Deforestation is tearing down trees and lumber from the forest, whether this is done legally or illegally, this practice is a very controversial one. The process of logging begins with cutting down the trees needed to cut into logs. These trees are then loaded onto a truck and transported to a location to be cut into logs. This process removes the natural habitat for many species and drives climate change. The soil that the trees grow in is rich and moist while the trees are standing, but once the trees …show more content…
This is the practice of replanting trees that were cut down and planting even more trees than you removed. This helps lower the carbon dioxide levels due to more trees being planted and sustained. This also helps bring back the ecosystem advantages that the trees offer as well, such as the water cycle and water storage. Replanting trees also offer new habitats for species that are effected by deforestation. Another minor level of change trying to make it’s way into the world of activism is moving people to a plant based diet, which would lower the demand for livestock, which in turn would lower the amount of forests effected by …show more content…
If we don’t try and reverse and reduce these effects, we could be seeing these effects for centuries to come. Our grandchildren could grow up without a rainforest and have to deal with rampant climate change and higher CO2 emissions. We can combat this issue by electing the correct public officials who will help and finance efforts to battle climate change. This includes the correct president, as Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton believe in and are willing to battle climate change; but Donald Trump and Ted Cruz claim that climate change does not exist and is being used for financial gain. Electing the correct officials is not the only way we need to help combat this issue. We as a whole need to start recycling more, which will reduce the need for new products that and will reduce on waste that can harm the forests and our environment. We need to educate our youth on the dangers of climate change and teaching them the benefits of recycling and stop hiding behind our ignorance when facing this issue. Deforestation is just one of many effects and causes of global warming. From the carbon emissions from our cars which run off of fossil fuel, to large factories that pollute our air with their waste. This is one of many issues we face as a human race, and it will shape the future of the
