Global Warming

Global warming is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth 's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants. It may not seem like much of a big deal right now, but we are headed down a very dangerous road. Humans are a very disregarding species, we don’t take notice of very important things. Global warming is something that absolutely can not be ignored. Humans are not the primary cause of global warming, but we are not helping it in any way. We are doing nothing but worsening the situation. Global Warming can be drastically reduced, if the whole world realizes what an issue it is.

At this point, climate change is not affecting us too much. Besides the polar ice caps melting, and entire ecosystems changing because animals are moving. In the near future however, we will be faced with drastic changes in the earths climate. Now this may seem like not that big of a deal. Sure we may face a few temperature rises. At this point, assuming we continue business as usual, temperatures in 2100 will estimate to be 9 degrees fahrenheit higher than they were in 2000. 9 degrees may not seem like that much, but that is the temperature differnce of New York and Michigan Not that big of a deal, we’ll just adapt. Wrong, the entire southwestern united states could turn into a dust bowl. Adding more greenhouse gases to the atmosphere is going to cause this.…
