Simply talking about “climate change” already causes an immediate segregation of a group for and against. Notable figures who have spoken out against this issue are people such as Marco Rubio, and James Inhofe. They both go very far in trying to prove that there has been no significant warming ‘over the past 18 years’, although Dr Michael Mann clearly states there is no doubt in the minds of those in the global scientific community that global warming and climate change are, in fact, influenced by human life and fossil fuels burning. The saviour from complete destruction of current organisms should then of course come from human activity as well.
As the opportunity arises to turn the tide of climate change, it must be seized in order to rehabilitate and improve the earth, so that it may benefit its inhabitants. However, this salvage operation of humanity’s future requires us to cooperate on a global scale of development never before witnessed in the history of mankind. To accomplish this, all have to be concerned.
Along with China, the US is one of the biggest emitters of greenhouse gases and needs to reduce its emissions by 26-28% by 2025 compared with the 2005 levels, according to the Paris climate change deal. Despite the EU not being the greatest player, it will cut back 40% of emissions by 2030. The US is certainly capable of performing more competently, as coal mining and oil drilling are nevertheless existent.
