Earth, as we know it, is the one place in the universe that could sustain life. Anywhere else in the galaxy is unstable, too cold, or too hot. Even though scientists are actively searching for a new planet, the people of Earth have a long time before they hop to the next planet. Therefore, humans must maintain and preserve the life giving characteristics of the planet, but the need for change at the environmental level has yet to become a major priority globally. Many countries have begun to step in the right direction of the correct path of Earth’s preservation however, there are many people who believe that Earth’s gradual change is irrelevant or a hoax that contributes to the various conspiracy theories that exist. Regardless what the ‘non-believers’ think about Earth’s environmental stability, biospheres and local climates have recorded high temperatures that continuously rise year after year.
As much as global warming and climate change are two different concepts, people have a tendency to confuse climate change with global warming. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association defined global warming and climate change by stating, “Global warming refers only to the Earth’s rising surface temperature, while climate change includes warming and the “side effects” of warming—like melting glaciers, heavier rainstorms, or more frequent drought. Said another way, global warming is one symptom of the much larger problem of human-caused climate change.” Since global warming…
