Global terrorism may come in different forms including suicide bombings and attacks on
foreign lands. When terrorism takes place, it affects not only the country in which the
violence or threats are taking place, but it also involves many other countries. Terrorists
are criminals who feel no shame in taking the lives of others, and the world should put

directly through them. The 9/11 attacks had both immediate and long-term impacts,
some of which remain to this day. The attacks caused the 2001 recession to deepen
and led to one of the biggest spending government spending programs in U.S. history.
An article on the impacts of 9/11 stated that the recession was reflected not only in the
rising unemployment rate but also in a sharp decrease in consumer spending
(Hyunjoon and Zheng). Tons of toxic remains were also released and exposure to these
chemicals led to illnesses among rescue and recovery workers. In fact, residents,
students, and office workers in Lower Manhattan and nearby Chinatown have

The bombs exploded close to the marathon’s finish line
with 5,600 people still in the race. According to an article written in history.com called
“Boston Marathon Bombings”, three people died, including an 8-year-old boy, while
more than 260 other people were wounded (1). This attack was very heartbreaking
because just when the runners thought that they would be celebrating after passing the
finish line, two bombs go off. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev along with his brother were later
pleaded guilty for setting off the bombs. Shortly before he was sentenced to death,
Dzhokhar mentioned to the Boston court in his first public statement that he is sorry for
