These toxic elements are released from motor vehicles, industrial facilities, or forest fires, and these three ways are the most common sources of air pollution. According to Human health effects of air pollution (Marilena K. & Elias C., 2008) these toxic elements can be divided for four categories: First, gaseous pollutants, such as SO2, NOx, CO, ozone, Volatile Organic Compounds such as wax, painting, or cleaning supplies; second, persistent organic pollutants, such as dioxins; third, heavy metals, such as lead, mercury. According to Reducing Toxic Air Pollution (n.d.), once these elements blend into the air, they will remain in environment for a long time and they can be transported a great distance. It shows that these toxic elements will cause a permanent …show more content…
It was also a significant source of the ocean, and it follows a water cycle which can improve the quality of water. But as people caused air pollution, the rain was no longer pure. This significant effect of air pollution is called “Acid Rain”, which includes plenty of sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, and lead. As this name implies, the rain is erosive for human bodies, animals, and other natural lives. Because rain will reach every corner around the world and people need water to survive, the impact is not limited in specific area. Once the water is polluted, it will lead bunch of side effects on everything which needs water to work or survive. Take ocean and soil for example. For the ocean, all of the marine species will indirectly absorb these toxic substances which were emitted from humans or natural action, such as coal factories and forest fires. For the soil, it will directly absorb these acid rain and these toxic elements will accumulate in soil for a long time. Then farmers still farm these lands which include a high quantity of toxins. Food and water are necessary for humans or animals to survive. Therefore, people will be polluted indirectly by eating these unclean and toxic vegetables, seafood, and livestock. However, these toxic will exist in human bodies until die. That is why people in this generation will suffer from more rare and
