I think in your opening sentence you give a perfect example of a global care chain however I don’t feel it defines it. I believe global care chains are invisible connections created through the pair or unpaid care of children and households. I like how you pointed out that the mother sacrifices her happiness and really her connection with her children to ultimately give them a better life. While on the basic level I see how both parties benefit from a global care chain however, I believe that it has a large impact on the always widening wealth gap between the wealthy and the poor.
