Glen Hager Case Study

Glen Hager was raised in a Baptist farming family and has had a variety of jobs throughout his career, which are extremely important to maintaining Texas finance. Hager is the Chief Revenue Estimator, which basically means that he is responsible for estimating how much money Texas will receive into the State Treasury every other year. Therefore, he is forced to analyze the facts and think about how much money Texas either receives or loses. Furthermore, Hager is also a tax collector for the state of Texas and is a Republican candidate in the Texas State Senate. Hager then started to talk about how the lowering gas prices effect Texas. I always thought that people tend to not tell the total truth and tend to worry about the perception of their company. However, Hager states that, “Facts are facts,” which means that you cannot lie if the people see facts. Also, Hager states that he is trying to simply communicate to the people of Texas any change in the economy. Hager says that he is trying to discuss not only the good but also the bad. Therefore, Hager likes to discuss and speak about facts, to the Texas people about the changes that may effect them. Lastly, Hager described why he does not want to lie to people about the economic states of Texas. He said that because of his childhood and the way that his parents raised him, he does not feel right if he lies to someone. He also stated that lie catch up to you. This simply means that the truth always seems to come out, and it will always be stated. Therefore, if caught in a lie, then the image of yourself is somewhat ruined. Therefore, Glen Hager the Texas State Comptroller and also a Tax Collector. However, his beliefs and the way he acts is because of his childhood. Hager believes that the truth is the best thing to state and that there is no reason to lie to the Texas people because lies will always catch up to
