I found the reference materials supplied in the course to be a very clever combination of useful information. Gladwell’s Outlier is a perfect learning tool. I very much enjoyed reading Gladwell’s writings and views of success. His thoughts and writings are inspiring and provided a creative basis for class assignments. Gladwell’s interesting ideas keep the reader engaged and provided great examples of arguments, research, context, purpose, and audience that allowed for more meaningful class collaboration and discussion. I found it difficult to post constructive discussion board feedback to my classmates about newly acquired skills. The class often had different interpretations and approaches to the class assignments. I did my best to share my knowledge and suggest improvements to other classmates while keeping their perspective in mind. I also structure my responses to include both strengths and areas of improvement. Regarding the uses of grammar, I was reminded of the early struggles of using proper grammar. It has been many years since I learned the basics of grammar usage. This experience pointed out that I need a refresher.
