Glacier Peak: A Short Story

Totem poles are made by carving a long log like wood or a tree trunk and the family selects men not that close to the dead person to carve the log, although the family of the deceased person has to pay the person that had carved the wood. After the pole is carved they coat the finished wood with wax, honey or egg yolks. The Tiwi islanders made totem poles so they could release the ‘mobiditi’ into the spirit world.…

There are many places I hold dear to my heart such as traveling to the mountains, visiting my grandma or going down to the Russian River and swimming in the freezing green river. But one particular place that stands out in my memory is Mount Shastina. We have gone to Mount Shastina during times of snow and during times of intense heat, which has exposed me to different activities that depend upon the climate. I have been going there, to McCloud, which is North of Mt. Shasta, with my family for as long as I can remember. In the center of a desert lies our rustic cabin with 3 bedrooms and a nice fireplace to keep us warm.…

The things that I did revise were the title, one of the images, and I added a couple of dates below the pictures. The title originally said, “Past, Present, Future” but I changed it and now it says, “Glacier National Park”. I made this change because with the original title you may not of been sure on what the point of the visual argument was. Now the title is changed you now understand what the meaning behind the visual argument is. I changed one of the image because before I made the change the two images, they were two different areas of Glacier National Park.…
