Community service is not as bad as some people make it out to be. I myself had an internal groan when I heard that community service was required and would be set as a grade. I had only known volunteerism as doing a dull boring task with no discernible reward. But after experiencing it for myself I found it quite the contrary. Volunteering is a way to meet new people and witness a group working toward a greater cause.…

As Jeff Miller once said, “The willingness of America’s Veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude.” Veterans from every country have served throughout many wars. They have put their blood, sweat, and effort into doing the right and beneficial thing for their nation. Being a veteran means not only to serve in the military, but it means to have the selflessness and courage to go off to war to ensure the freedom of the nation.…

I do not believe that all United Sates citizens should be required to to preform at least one year of community service by the time they are thirty years of age. Forcing someone to help when they aren't willing can do more damage than good. If the person does not want to help they shoulfnt be forced to do so. Volunterring comes from the heart of the person, if their heart is not it, it will not be benificial to the people receiving the help.
