Having a great time nowadays is probably everyone's idea of living life. What is the true idea of living life though? That's something nobody truly knows, right? In this advertisement of Extra Gum presented in the People Español Magazine there is a young happy biracial couple who is out having fun and enjoying life with another happy looking couple that is seen through the open light green spearmint Extra Gum Pack. They seem to be reaching out to the young adults who are looking to enjoy life with love ones and want so much more from life than just creating memories. Likewise, Extra’s advertisements always show that giving can give you more hence their slogan “Give Extra Receive Extra.” However, in this advertisement it doesn't really show …show more content…
In fact, with everything going on now with society more and more people are coming together to overcome this racial discrimination against one another. What better way for a big company like Extra to advertise this racial acceptance? The couple in this advertisement is in a urban setting with dimmed blurred out lights in the background looking fancy. Something that really captures the viewer's attention will be the couple printed on the inside of the lightish green Spearmint Extra pack of gum. They seem to be captured in this perfect setting creating a memory with a love one. Enjoying a casual night out the couple on the left side are dressed in dark jeans. While, the young man has on a space gray long sleeve button up and what seems like black dress shoes the young woman on his back is wearing a white shirt with no sleeves and black heel booties. They also have little extra accessories here and there. As mentioned the young African American man is carrying the young what seems to be Latina women over his back who is smiling and showing her perfect white pearly teeth just like every other person on the advertisement.
