Beyoncé Giselle Knowles born September 4, 1981 in the heart of the deep south Houston, Texas. Beyoncé first captured the music industry by being the lead vocalist of the R&B group Destiny’s Child, where she later established a solo career. She has become one of the music industries top-selling artist, with an array of awards and sold-out tours under her belt. Knowles is an all around performer, also being starred in several films, with one of her most famous being Dream Girls. Knowles has released six studio albums with her most recent Lemonade, leaving the world wondering whom “Becky with the good hair was.” Other than her vigorous performance lifestyle, Beyoncé is a wife to well-known hip-hop artist Jay-Z and a mother to their four-year-old …show more content…
By performing these self-report tests many are able to have some insight on their personality traits that they display. Because different jobs pose different demands, personality plays a critical role in determining the success that one may need for that position. “The dimensions of the MBTI are four in number: The EI (extroversion-introversion), the SN (sensation-intuition), the TF (thinking-feeling), and the JP (judging-perceiving),” (Carlson, 1989, pg. 484). The E refers to preference of obtaining information from others while the introversion (I) is obtaining information through reading and reflection. The SN scale relates to personal preference either for using sense-based data (sensing) or using self-generated information (intuition). The TF scale attempts to measure the tendencies to think logically or to use an analytical approach when gathering data (T) or preferences to use a more personal, subjective way of gathering data (F). “All three dimensions stem from Jung’s theory of personality types. The fourth dimension, distinguishing between preference for evaluating the moment-to moment and day-to-day influx of information (judging) versus merely gathering and storing data for use (perceiving), is the innovation of the MBTI, which doubles the possible combinations for personality types …show more content…
