We hear a lot that, now a days high school girls are meaner than boys, is that really the truth?. Katrina Newey, The researcher, developmental psychologist and PhD candidate at the University of Western Sydney, found that high school boys are commonly the perpetrators of cyberbullying, especially when it comes to hacking accounts and spreading rumors or unwanted videos. A recent research shows that boys are more active in spreading rumors than girls, which by now should clearly state my side of the argument which is against the statement (MCneilage, 2015)

It can be very easy to say that a girl is being when she is not. Boys are the ones to engage in lots of bullying compared to girls. Boys also get into a lot of cyberbullying and they are more aggressive than girls. My final statement is that either boys or girls they should not be involved in mean thing that could hurt others. People should treat others the way they want them to be treated, students should understand how much mental pressure the victim is going through and bullying should be

Diagnostic Writing Assignment Tannen has a very interesting point. She states that boys are more susceptible to learn in a more hostile environment such as criticizing and tearing apart the the message that they have read. Girls on the other hand want to talk out what they have read and try to relate to the message. I agree with Tannen and the claims she states about how girls and boys learn in different ways.…

In Anna North’s New York Times article, “What Grown-Ups Are Missing About Boys,” the focal point is how boys, relatively have been understudied when it comes to social behaviors deemed cruel and damaging, in comparison to girls (North, Para. 1). Reason being is that these behaviors or “relational aggression,” are generally attributed to females (2014, Mean Girls), in North’s article, a study conducted by Dr. Orpinas reveals, the percentage of boys that displayed relational aggression in early years, outweighed the percentage of girls (North, Para. 3). The results explicitly debunk a myth that girls are more malicious within their social circles when compared to the opposite sex. Dr. Orpinas study in particular shows how common relational…

As human beings, we all go through developmental cycles, but during our teenage cycle we come across problems which in my opinion results in teen relational aggression towards one another. Relational aggression among boys is typically physical. But between girls it becomes relational, leaving them feeling rejected, “less than” and with a damaged sense of self. Boys grow out of this phase by resolving issues physically, but girls don’t. Girls usually take out their anger among one another by bad mouthing and putting each other down.…

According to the author girls are becoming more violent in the 21st Century. Not fitting traditional good girl getting good grades stereotype, however girls have been on the rise in the delinquency area. In today’s society girls have found the need to join gangs for the same reasons as boys. I believe these reasons rage from growing up in foster care being moved from home to home to having a single mom living in a high crime rate area of the city. Girls have now decided they need to protect their self at all times and decides to carry guns, knives and having razor blade in their mouth for protection.…

    1. The movie Mean Girls has its own unique high school culture and within that culture there are many social communities. People tend to divide into their own groups with others who share similar ideas and values and this was also true in my high school, but my high school differed by being more open and accepting different groups similar to the ending of the movie. Also, social communities also have their own rules for example the plastics wear pink on Wednesdays and this stays the same to this day. People are guided by rules to fit in whether its what they wear, do, say, or act.…

One problem that is ever evolving and continuously effects young adolescence in school is bullying. Bullying can be defined as an activity in which someone intentionally participates in either physically or emotionally harming a peer through any medium; such as words, actions, or technology. By applying this definition to the term bullying, it makes sense that almost every teenager in America can identify a time when they were bullied, when they bullied someone else, or a time when they saw a peer get harassed. And with an increase in technology use, minorities in school, and a growing LGBT group in the education system the problem is only going to get worse. There is a common misconception in the adult community as well as media that somehow…

Bullying is a matter that no one should take lightly especially in areas it occurs the most like in schools. While many of these institutions have applied policies against bullying, there are still many instances documented where a student has suffered mental, emotional, or physical abuse by the hands of another student. Many of the children that partake in this particular behavior have no idea what kind of consequences their actions will have or either do not care. It is the education system’s job to teach and show students that bullying can be detrimental to someone’s life and that they will have no tolerance towards the issue. Schools should take a stricter approach to occurrences involving bullying and have the punishments clearly outlined…
