Since we pick up gendered characters from society, with maybe little impact from singular thoughts of being a man or lady. Grazian is trying to give his audience a clear view into the experiences of heterosexual men heightening their performance of masculinity through picking up females. I think Grazian accomplishes giving the readers a nice depiction on that kind of life. The reason I think this is because, the author (Grazian) has been studying a number of these types of males for some time. Additionally, he gives the readers experiences from other males that have been “girl hunting” for quite some time. These experiences that were described in detail definitely supports his claims in which males don’t pick up girls to fulfill sexual desires, but to gain status among their male
