The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig is a story about Nix, a girl on a mystical ship that can travel to a different time period and place if you have a map of the place at that time. Her father, the captain, is obsessed with getting them back to a certain time period and place, 1868 Hawaii so he can reunite with the love of his life. The love of his life is also Nix's mother who died giving birth to her, so what will happen to Nix if her father finally finds a way to make it back to her mother. Will she disappear and be gone forever or is she worrying for nothing? My opinion of The Girl From Everywhere is that this book was exceptionally well done I couldn't stop turning the pages fast enough to get to the end to see what happened to Nix.
