He is not just computer savvy, but has the capability to learn a new skill rapidly. Achieving these great accomplishments are not just handed to you on a silver platter. There has been many setbacks and let downs to become successful in life. He is a prime example of how to achieve your dreams and to stay positive. Even though we are the same age, I will always look up to him. We find ourselves fidgety and unable to focus on long paragraphs of reading causing us to skim because our brains cannot absorb that much information at a time. The main problem in today’s society is that we are depending on technology to give us the answer to any and every question we have in an instant. Most of the time we just open google, type in what we want to know and out shoots the answer. Nicholas Carr’s article, “Is Google Making Us Stupid?”, published by The Atlantic, is just one of the articles that explain the effects that technology has on our way of thinking.…

The author Mike Rose argues that most people seem to belief that work requiring less schooling requires less intelligence. I concur with the author and belief that this notion is wrong and that work requiring less schooling doesn 't necessarily means that requires less intelligence. There are plenty of jobs, the blue-collar type, that required a level of memorization, reasoning, and intelligence like any other job that may seem of higher standard. Like Mike Rose did in his article “ Blue collar brilliance’ I can show from my own experience what workers are capable of doing. I watched my father work harder than anyone and trying to be the best just cleaning in the kitchen and waiting tables.…

This whole story is one elaborate Christian parallel. This is an example of an Eden story, based off of the one from Genesis in the Bible. In the story, Giovanni can be seen as a Christian who is facing the tests just as Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden (Garden), and the failure to do the right thing even though God (in this case Baglioni) told them to, and Satan (Beatrice) was their downfall (102). The story ends with the death of Beatrice, which then leaves Giovanni to live a life that is miserable, much like life after Eve sinned and ate the fruit.…

Bernardo didn’t have the best childhood growing up. Even though he seemed to trick those around him into thinking he was a happy go-lucky kid, back at home it was a lot more troublesome than it had seemed. His father, son of an Italian immigrant and English woman, and his mother, adopted by a wealthy lawyer and his wife, both had mental issues themselves. Bernardo’s father had been caught watching young women through their windows at nighttime and was even charged with child molestation after fondling a young girl (Murderpedia, unknown). As shown in a timeline of events from Goswami et al.…
