This paper is about the explorer, Giovanni De Verrazano. Then, it will discuss three significant moments of his life. Lastly, there will be a conclusion.
Giovanni De Verrazano was born in Italy in 1485, he also, as I found out, had a brother named Gerolamo. He went to school in Florence then moved to Dieppe, France and entered the France’s maritime service. He first set sail in 1523 to the Levant, a geographic area of the middle east. The next exploration he did was to find a passageway to Asia in the west just like Columbus did about 30 years earlier. He was assigned by king Francis I of France and took two ships and to go there. He then took a straight route through the north Atlantic and ended up in South Carolina and went North
