Gilgamesh was semi immortal and Odysseus was mortal even though he objects becoming immortal. Gilgamesh and Odysseus both had intimidation body builds with Gilgamesh being 2/3 God, 1/3 human with physical strength and super human powers, and Odysseus (…..)with mental strength, they are some strong fighters Odysseus had numerous run-ins where he had to stand his ground and fight out of situations, like when he went up against the cyclopes and stabbed him the eye and escaped, fighting at the different islands, fighting for his life when it came to Scylla and Charybdis, and when he finally makes it home he had to kill the suitors for all the trouble and drama they caused. As for Gilgamesh he fought Humbaba which was a fearsome demon who guarded cedar forest which was off limits to mortals, his mouth like fire, breath like death, roars like a volcano. They both were kings and leaders Odysseus was king is king of lthaca and while out on his journey he was a great leader for his fellow crew members he tried his hardest to keep his crew safe even though some may have died but he tried to protect them. Gilgamesh is king of Sumerian but not there protector even though he is self-confident and at times that self-confident led him to have a little compassion for the town people he rules his city with an iron fist.
