Gilbert Grape has mother called Bonnie, two sisters the oldest one called Ellen & little sister called Amy and brother called Arnie. He used to have a massy and difficult life; he lives such a mother and a father. Gilberts dream was to travel from his small town to see the outside world. Gilbert’s father killed himself, gilbert never believe that his father died because he was always taking care of the house that his father build it.

When Gilbert’s dad died his life started to be difficult, his mother got fat. Arnie has a mental illness he makes Gilbert life harder and always make him busy by doing massive things. He hated his mom and started to take care of Arnie and work to give money because he was the only one that holds his family
