The purpose behind analysis is to make sense of a particular situation. Analysing a situation gives a person awareness, which allows them to make informative decisions in the future (Power, 2017). Looking back, all of the students were short tempered due to the pressure and uncertainty they were feeling about their futures. Because we felt a lot of pressure, our thinking became rather irrational and fear began to fester within us. Due to that fear, people began to avoid their work and anything that had something to do with this assignment, to make them feel secure. On the other hand, I believe I was able to act more rationally because I was in a much better position than the boys; not only was I the top of the class, but I also had my music teaching qualification, which gave me an automatic ATAR. Due to that fact, I had a clearer head and I was able to make decisive decisions on the behalf of others during chaos; which in the end, worked to our advantage. This experience taught me that the behaviour and actions of humans are driven by emotions and vice-versa. The cycle between emotions and actions can both be vicious and kind, forcing people to act in way that could be deemed out of
