In the evaluation stage of Gibb’s reflective cycle, the practitioner can identify the good and bad experiences in their reflection. The positive aspect of communicating effectively include the building trust and relationships with both parents and children, which will result in a higher well-being for children. Overall, the practitioner uses different interpersonal skills depending who the person is, for example, whilst interacting to the parents the practitioner remains calm with a friendly tone to suggest that they are intently active listening. Additionally, practitioners differ when they communicate with multi-disciplinary teams as they can effectively interact with their managers and staff members using interpersonal relations. Practitioners need to have concise verbal, and non-verbal communication whilst also having listening skills and negotiation skills, these factors make a leader in the workplace. It is clear that communication skills are vital in the workplace, people in multi-agencies need to collaborate together, this can be done by creating team-building exercises, which can be done to challenge each other in the team, this will help build on their communication skills and also help strengthen their own interpersonal skills. Within different groups, constructive and operational contact is necessary with all staff members, despite the duties each person participates in.
