We are comparing and contrasting the perrault version of Cinderella and the African-style story, Chinye. One similarity between these two stories is that both of the main characters’ parents are dead. Another similarity is that they both have 1 or 2 stepsisters. Another similarity is they both have to do the stepsisters’ and the stepmother’s chores. They also clean up after them and cook for them. So pretty much in both stories, Chinye and Cinderella are servants to the steps’. The last thing that is similar is that they both have their own style of houses.
