Ghana was a very great country in 1957 when our first president was still alive . mr. nkrumah traveled to the united states of america when he was 24 to study and observe the american society. Nkrumah had many great plans to help make ghana a great nation. he was the person that gave our nation independence day and made ghana free forever. Nkrumah was one of the big six who fought to gain ghana independence in 1957. The names of the big six was j.b danquah, nkrumah, ebenezer ako adjei,edward akufo addo, emmanuel obetsebi, william ofori atta. These were the six great men who fought for ghana independence.
