Ghana was a very great country in 1957 when our first president was still alive . mr. nkrumah traveled to the united states of america when he was 24 to study and observe the american society. Nkrumah had many great plans to help make ghana a great nation. he was the person that gave our nation independence day and made ghana free forever. Nkrumah was one of the big six who fought to gain ghana independence in 1957. The names of the big six was j.b danquah, nkrumah, ebenezer ako adjei,edward akufo addo, emmanuel obetsebi, william ofori atta. These were the six great men who fought for ghana independence. Ghana was originally known as the gold coast they had many natural resources such as gold,silver, diamond, wood, and other minerals. It has the population of 2,291,352 . tamale region is called the northern region. It has the population of 562,919. Tema region is also called the greater accra. It has the population of 161,612 people living in it. The nicest and beautiful places in ghana is east legon, tema, and temale. Accra also has the biggest mall in town.
