The narrator’s character in Cathedral was interesting to me as well. I agree he is an antihero as he is an ordinary guy and initially, a pretty reluctant and disinterested participant in the goings on of the story. He does seem to have an uneasiness about both his wife’s ex-husband and of the relationship his wife and Robert share. Though this might indicate jealousy, I read it more as aversion and insecurity. Although the narrator’s statements are concise in general, when he speaks of the ex-husband, he rushes through to get across the essentials and adds an indicator of his disinterest in thinking about it.…

The author that I agree with most are Luttrell and Sommervile. As is stressed at the end of the video, if Robert written an advanced directive then the entire situation would have been avoided. I value the principle of autonomy highly - one should be able to make decisions for themselves and then stick them through if forced to do so. Robert could have dictated what he would want done in certain situations, and his rationale for these answers would come from a lifetime of understanding his own reactions to situations. He could also change these directives if his stances also changed.…

There are many qualities of a good movie. One of them is that it has no bad scenes and I don’t want to explain that. The movie should not have very much cursing. The Wars Robert Ross is in a predicament that showcased the epitome of juxtaposition in this particular novel. Robert a being of gentle and compassionate spirit is thrust into a chaos ridden world, that most would not be able to make sense of let alone survive as long as he did. The protagonist is forced to participate in acts that are so wildly in opposition to his gentle and caring nature. Roberts’s deep reverence for all living things is at the core of who he is as a person. Under these circumstances, it is reasonable to infer any man would become unraveled and Robert was no exception.…

The time travel paradox or simply temporal paradox is a self contradictory argument in which time and space contradict each other and challenge destiny. A paradox is a self-contradicting idea that is logically unacceptable because there is no logic explanation to prove it. There are two types of temporal paradoxes: the causal loop and the grandfather paradox; each of them have the same basis, but have subtle differences. The movie “12 Monkeys” is built around a causal loop that enters in the subgenera of a self-fulfilling prophecy. This specific genre of the time travel paradox is based on the fact that an event in the future affect events of the past that will later on affect the future making an inconsistent logic of unexplainable relation of time and space.…

Working in an office also has a number of disadvantages, aside from its benefits, which caused the trend of doing work at home to bloom. These drawbacks reduced the number of employees patronizing jobs done in an office environment. To start with, working in an office consumes more of individual’s personal time. As stated by Manuron (retrieved 2015), even though making more money is beneficial to a family financially, a family is likely to suffer in other ways because of an individual’s absence in some special family occasions, his irritability towards them and other constraints of working overtime.…
