Getting My First Job

Getting my first job might have been one of the most significant challenges I have faced and overcome. Only fifteen with economic struggles within my family, I felt like I needed to come forward and help my parents by working. I was never asked for help from my family thinking I was too young to be responsible. Once I turned sixteen, I thought it would have been easy to get any starting jobs. Boy was I wrong. Frustration grew inside me, patience got smaller, but the search did not stop. Receiving phone calls was easy, but the interviews were not. The motivation that kept me going was that by having interviews it would give me a better chance to experience them. Throughout the period of finding a job, I stayed as positive minded as I could. The reason is, I grew up with it all. I am very fortunate to have a life with a significance amount of values. I value every single person in my life who has always gone out of their way to help me with my needs and wants. I grew up being the only girl out of my siblings so I was just a tad bit more spoiled. My parents and my brothers are what I value and respect the most growing up. It is crazy to think that they only knew me a part of their life but I knew them all my life since they are all much older. Aside from that, the culture we have comes with the best food and I am proud to say that I enjoy every single meal that is provided to me. Having food on my plate makes me appreciate all the work and effort my parents do to support my brothers and I. At last my home, it is the place I am the most comfortable in. Being in the same home for fifteen years is where I found myself growing and changing as a person but with the same background.
