Sadness,loneliness and depression are some of the reactions of getting kidnapped. Getting or even about to be kidnapped was never on my mind. My parents always shaded my siblings and I from all these negative events in the world until that one day that I realized, that the negative events in the world could happen to me too. I was a typical 4th grader at Devonshire Elementary school who loved silly bands and playing soccer with my two brothers. I never had a thought of being kidnaped and I thought I was safe until that one day. I woke up with the sun on my face and my dad screaming by name at the top of his lungs. The gist of our normal routine was to eat breakfast,change and get to the bus stop. We quickly scurried out of the house hoping that we weren't late for school like yesterday.

I didn’t feel good and It felt like something was wrong. As we were at the bus stop I perceived this man cutting the street walking straight toward us. Without any thought as a natural reaction I grabbed my little brother's hand. My heart was beating like a drum, should I freak out or calm down. My gut told me to freak out if he started following us to another bus stop I started walking to a nearby bus stop that I knew their was gonna be kids. I glanced back and he was still following us and I glanced and realized I was biting my nails which was a sign that I was nervous. I was freezing but I knew it wasn’t because of the weather. It was as if someone put ice down my back, Goosebumps creeped up to my body and they were appearing all over it especially my arms. . The man was probably 180 pounds and he had a beard so ugly that looked like he had a bird nest on his face. The man had a brown jacket that had the color of mud that an animal rolled in. The man was wearing ripped jeans that looked like it was teared apart by a wild animal. . I anxiously remembered what my teacher told our class the
