Getting Into College

College is a time that young adults transition from being in high school to moving on towards becoming adults. In high school, teachers and other school staff talk about preparing for college with students from freshman year all the way to senior year. They use different methods to help high schoolers choose the college that is right for them, such as through College Go Week and websites made for choosing colleges. Once they apply and get into college, they breathe a big sigh of relief because they know that they are on track for their future career. Getting into college is one thing, balancing all of the college life into one schedule can be challenging between doing some of the fun activities and studying. To fully succeed in college, you must have a well balanced schedule of working on assignments and having free time to relax. …show more content…
I asked one of my friends, Tatum, how many hours she studies a week. She told me that she usually studies thirty minutes for every class she has per day. She said that she also makes sure to study the materials more a few days before a test.Seventeen hours a week seems like a great deal of time to be sitting somewhere, looking at the material you are currently learning in classes, but, to succeed in college, study time is necessary to learn all of the course work. Having the skills to study for a large amount of time is rare but not many people have that skill. It is better to study for a little while and then take a short break to clear your head and then go study more until you know fully know the material. I also asked one of my guard instructors, Regan, how much she studies a week. She told me that she studies around ten to twelve hours a week to make sure she gets the materials that she needs to for her
