We are familiar with mosquitoes. Mosquitoes fly and buzz. More often than not, we prepare ourselves to repel mosquitoes.

The scientists also shared that although the number of tick species is in the hundreds, there are relatively few ticks that interact with mankind and domestic animals causing harm.
Most ticks are quite picky with their host selection but some are opportunistic feeders and will feed on almost any accessible host. It is the tick that feeds on a select host group that will move infective agents within that group.
Now, how do we get rid of ticks? Since they are especially common in areas where there are deer trails or human tracks, then it is only natural to take the bite prevention method.
Use tick repellent and also dress up accordingly when you go into the woods. Make sure you put on a long pants and long sleeve shirt. The point is, not to expose your skin to the tick when you are passing a forested or a tall grass area. This is because ticks are fond of crawling up on you and this is very undesirable if your skin is exposed.
