Get Paid For Grades

Why should kids get paid for good grades? In my opinion i don’t think that people should get paid but want to get good grades without having to be paid. Most people think that it is ok to pay kids for grades but they should want to make them to show how smart they are. Some reasons i don’t think we should not get paid for the grades that are made are it could mess up the value in education, they could start loving that cash and not the subject, the kids can start to want more than what they are getting.

In my opinion giving them cash is a bad idea because it could “mess up the value in their education” in paragraph 6 in the article by the Today John calls it a “bad bargain. My mom tells me that good grades that we should all want to get to show how smart we all are to get a good job. Yes I can see how it could make some kids work harder like in the article a girl named Alfred said “yes getting paid did make me work a little bit harder.” However I still think that we should

Some people might be thinking that as long as they get good grades that they it don’t care if they like it or not. Most people in my grade don't care if they have good or bad grades and don't like school they just like the money that they get. What will happen if they stop getting money? " The notion that parents must finance their children’s education is ridiculous" (Rock 19). If a parent can help then they should as it could reduce their child's stress level. Parents say that it is not impossible for students to pay their own way and while this is a good point, in some cases it is impossible, like if they have “disabilities or extenuating circumstances" (Rock 18). The general argument made by author Arianna Prothero, is that Does Paying Kids to Do Well in School Actually Work? Is that some schools using bribes to motivate their students to do well in school may be effective or may not. In some cases the students getting rewarded can have a good effect on their test scores, but sometimes there could be no impact at all and the students could just not try any harder to get better grades even with bribes. More specifically, Prothero argues that it really just depends on the incentive that bribe gives the students to do better in school and how it can help them want to do better in school and get better test scores. She writes “Technically, anything that motivates a student to do something is an incentive.”…

The reason why i think us kids should get paid to go to school is because like school is just like work and when you are at work you get paid. I know you are thinking we are supposed to go to school because it is our duty to but we do it for five straight days not to mention to get up at 6:30. Might as well say we are going to work with all that stuff we do. What is a school without punishment, if a kid makes a bad grade or office he/she will be charged because with the bad grade we will have to hire a tutor for that student an he or she will have to pay for the hours the tutor is here.…
