Get Kids Vaccinated Or Else: Article Analysis

In the Washington post article titled, ‘Get Kids Vaccinated or Else, Parents Told’ it talks about how there were more than 2,300 students who had not received the state required vaccinations to allow their students into the school system. In Prince George’s county, the students are required to receive vaccines for the chicken pox and hepatitis B to go to school, the county reached out to all the parents and tried to inform the parents of the severity of the situation. After the deadline of the vaccinations, the county sent letters to the parents insisting that they are required to come to a circuit meeting to have a court hearing an a chance to have a free vaccination for their child, if the parents did not come, they will be fined at least $50 and up to 10 days in jail. The magnitude of the harm is that it can worsen diabetes and asthma, or even cause death creating a long term effect on the flu. The risk of someone dying can increase if they are not treated with the vaccination for the flu. The flu infects the lungs, nose and throat. The vaccine is safe for the most people who are infected by the flu, like all vaccines, there is some risks of getting the vaccine, but i believe the vaccine helps more than not getting the Flu vaccine. The Polio is a viral disease that can affect any person of any age. The risk of getting the disease is high if you come in contact with the feces of someone affected with Polio. The harm Polio can cause someone to have a fever, headaches, and vomiting, Polio can cause paralysis in people. If you contract Polio, you are at a very high risk of suffering these symptoms and dying or developing paralysis.
