To me this quote means that getting good grades is only HALF of your education. Having a good character is the other half. For example, one day after my soccer team had just lost everyone was mad. They wouldn’t say “good game” when they high fived the other team, except me because I had learned a lesson. I learned that even though it hurts to lose you still need to be a good sport. When we won, a few of the team was gloating, but I didn’t because I remembered what it felt like to lose.
