Bandura’s theory of observation learning involves four phases: attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation. Examine and clarify educational needs, their goal, determine group size and prepare the education plan accordingly. As we know breast cancer is the most common causes of death of women today. Monthly self-breast exam is important because women themselves find the majority of the beast cancers and early detection is the key of survival. Breast are inspected for asymmetry in shape, nipple inversion, and bulging, dimpling and unusual lumps. I would follow the steps of social-cognitive model to teach the group. I would give group members written material for them to read. Then, I would show them video of how to do self-breast examination. Give them time to retain the information. I would demonstrate how to self- breast examination to the groups. I would have them practice by imitate me as much as possible. Furthermore, I would have them verbalize the procedure and demonstrate back the technique. I would ask if they have any question. Bandura’s modeling phases and processes is an effective method when teaching clients by demonstrating an anticipated action and having them return demonstration. By following this process gives the educator an opportunity to guide, correct, and provide positive support as
