The Nazi party was founded on February 24, 1920, and dissolved in 1945. The Nazi regime, had very specific rules and policies. The Nazi policy stated the superiority of the Aryan Race. This policy was slowly enforced and was called the “The Final Solution”. Although the tyranny of the Nazi´s affected Communists, Socialists, Trade Unionist, and Jehovah Witnesses, it effected more Jews. The Jewish people were blamed for every disgrace the country had had, they were banned from society, persecuted and finally they were forcefully taken out of their homes and put in concentration camps, where they would die. In these ghettos took place the genocide of Jews. They were isolated and never treated like people. The people that could have been found there not only were Jewish, but also the mentally and physically disabled. The first camp was in Poland, even though before the military would just kill them, they were now designated “Killing Center”. The first to be taken to the camp in Poland were the least useful, like the sick, old and weak, and very young. Although it is not possible to know how many people died in concentration camps, it is estimated that 50-60 million lives were lost. As well as this, one third of civilians were killed, injured, or left homeless. Although the war resulted in the defeat of the Axis, it is the Allies that lost more people (61 million total). The Soviet Union lost at least 7 million civilians and approximately 7-13 million military losses. On the other hand, The United States did not have any civilian deaths, but 405,399 military deaths. Great Britain lost 60,000 civilians and 244,000 military lives, while China lost 10 million civilian and 3.5 million soldiers. The Axis also lost a great amount of lives after the war came to an end. Out of this alliance, the Germans lost the greatest amount of people. Losing 4 million soldiers and 1.6 million people, it is also speculated that 2 million Germans may have also died. Lastly, Japan lost 380,000 civilians and 1.2 million soldiers during the war. This war brought destruction to almost every country involved. It also lead to the Cold War.
