Job Notes: On May 23, 2017 I went to 6805 Club Ridge #222 because of a compliant of the air unit not working. Ms. Catherine Jones is the tenant at this unit. She complained that I was late for my appointment (10 min.) that we made and the air unit was not working property. My investigation showed that the unit was working, but the environment/ temperature in the apartment was warm. It appeared that the air unit was not cooling property considering the reading of my device was showing 76 & 77 temperature. Therefore, I gave a 'Notice to Correct" violation to check and repair as needed f/u 6-6-17. Management informed me that the tenant keeps cutting on and off the unit that is why it was not cooling like it should and that she is very disrespectful. …show more content…
Jones asked another company to come in and check and they said also ‘nothing was wrong with the unit (per-management). The tenant later called me and said she did not like this unit and that she wanted to move away from this complex ‘Germantown Falls Apartment’. Management and tenant agreed again that tenant can move by 7-3-17 and tenant signed that agreement (pre-management). On 6-14-17, tenant called again complaining that she is still hot and her application was not approved for another apartment (another apartment complex) therefore, she wanted to stay. I informed her that I cannot give her legal advice but she can call ‘Renter Right’s or Legal Service. Management informed her that she had to go because of everything they did to accommodate her. Considering that she said her apartment was still hot with the portable unit and the central air working, I went to investigate along with maintenance and found that she did not have her central air unit on. After cutting the central air unit on and wait a minute my temperature reading instrument shown the air temperature was 65 to 66 in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. In addition, the portable unit stayed on, but Ms. Jones said she will not keep her central air unit on all of the time because it will run up her
