If accepted, I hope to benefit from the University of Georgia Honors Program through the advanced courses offered, the caring professors, and the smaller sized classroom. I believe the Honors Program at Georgia will allow me to succeed by demanding more from me as a student. The rigorous courses and the expectations an honors student has will foster and improve my work ethic. As a result, this will allow me to find success as an undergraduate student and beyond. Personally, I think a work ethic is everything. Not everyone is born a genius, but anyone can find a work ethic that will allow them to triumph almost any obstacle. Professors who care deeply about what they do and show discipline is extremely important. I hope to further enhance my education by having extremely gifted professors …show more content…
I believe there is a more evident ambiance of respect in the Honors Program because, like the students, the professors are highly motivated. Additionally, the Honors students want to be in a more academically challenging environment and the professors want to teach these students who are hungry for knowledge. Furthermore, the smaller classroom settings are ideal for my learning process. With the smaller settings, there are less distractions and more individual attention which makes a difficult topic easier to comprehend. Also, I plan to take advantage of the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities since I have been accepted to the College of Engineering. I admire how research faculty members consider students as partners, which I find encourages and stimulates academic growth. The correlation between the Honors Program and undergraduate research will open doors, and help me uncover unknown passions and interests. I am confident that the University of Georgia Honors Program will allow me to discover new interests, develop my analytical thinking skills, and challenge me on many
