Georgia Day Narrative

On a humid Georgia day, I stared down at my little feet and prepared myself for the news that could ruin my life. My parents said our new home would be in Seattle. My eyes welled with tears as my parent’s incessant words echoed in my head. I stumbled through the hallway and collapsed onto my bed in disrepair. I lay there frozen in horror, dreading the day that I must leave everything I know and love behind. I went to school the next day explaining to my friends my fate. I expected my friends to share the disappointment I experienced however they responded joyously. They said the air is clear and crisp with bright blue skies and a warm breeze.
