The Policy of Neutrality was a document that was created by George Washington during his presidency. This policy was to keep US citizens out of world events to avoid any problems with each other or other countries. He established the first cabinet, these people often offer advice in situations that involve their area of work. In the president's cabinet were Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, Henry Knox, and Edmund Randolph. Washington also created the Judiciary Act which split the country into different districts with one court and judge in each, along with many more details. Some may argue that Jefferson and Jackson both did things to improve the federal government just like Washington. Although this may be true, Washington was the first president to make a successful strong federal government. Jefferson and Jackson both may have improved it as well, but George established many things in the government that are still used today and have been very successful.
