I have always known that there is something about George Washington University that makes it stand above other institutions. After all, it is ranked among the top universities in the world for a reason. Since GW caught my attention, I decided to do some research about this captivating university.
The more I learn about George Washington, the more fascinated I become with it. Of course, my main interest is the programs that the School of Business has to offer. I have diverse goals and ambitions; which I know I will achieve after learning from the well-rounded curriculum this school offers. With my hopeful transfer, I intend to major in International Business; a field in which George Washington offers optimal courses taught by professors with first-hand experience from the real world. Besides teaching, most of the GW professors also have other high-ranked job positions in prestigious institutions. For example, Hossein Askari; professor of International Business who served on the Executive Board of the IMF for two years. This is something that I look forward to; learning from academics that I admire and respect, and whom will

GW’s Center for Career Services is the tool I need to gain more and more experience that will be essential for my future. I am also eager to studying with highly qualified students from all over the world, which will allow me to be part of a student body that is not only diverse but also competitive, pushing me to grow as an individual. I believe that we can always learn from the people around us, that is why I like to surround myself with people smarter than me, so I always have someone to look up to, someone from whom I can learn. As a child, my father always told me that if I was the smartest person in a room, I was in the wrong room. Therefore, I do not want to be the bigger fish in a small pond, I would rather be in a bigger pond, for it is the bigger pond that allows you to grow into a bigger

When I visited George Washington my sophomore year of high school, I instantly knew that your school is where I wanted to go for college. It just wasn't like any of the other colleges that I had seen before, and for that matter it was unlike any I have seen since. I saw that GW is in a beautiful location and that its presence in the capitol greatly enhances both its value and the city’s around it. I really liked walking around the campus, as it was extremely vibrant. I saw that safety is also important, and the combination of security that holds jurisdiction in this area is extremely reassuring.…

At Xavier University we believe in the “All for One and One for All” philosophy; showing that camaraderie and equality among all are still possible. One way Xavier lives up to its support for students is through the one-year long Smooth Transition mentoring program. I served as a smooth transition mentor to three incoming first-year students during the 2016-2017 academic year. In order to ensure that they have a successful first year at Xavier, I informed them about the resources Xavier University provides, including the writing center, mathematics lab, tutoring services, Ohio link, and much more. I also advised them to make good decisions and form relationships with people who would motivate them to succeed.…

There are many reasons why I would like to go to the University of Chicago, but I’d like to start off with the academic aspect of the university. While not specifically a Liberal Arts college, it seems to me that “The Core” is very akin to a Liberal Arts curriculum in the sense that it forces you to expand yourself into different disciplines. I am a big believer in learning about everything because, as I have found, everything is interconnected. With “The Core” curriculum at the University of Chicago, that message of nondiscriminatory learning is clearly emphasized and I know that I will grow as both a person and a student in that kind of an environment. Once I complete “The Core” curriculum, I will be able to focus more on my major working with world-renown faculty solving the world’s problems one step at a time.…
