No doubt, the life and achievements of Dr. George Washington Carver are an inspiration to me and have had an impact on all our lives. Dr. George Washington Carver was an African American man who graduated from Iowa University and went on to become the Director of the Agriculture at Department at Tuskegee Alabama for over five decades (National Peanut Board, 2017). Meanwhile, his research proved the be invaluable and saved over five million acres of crop lands that had been exhausted by the over planting of cotton. For example, Dr. George Washington Carver’s introduction of the peanut not only revitalized the souths crop potential but saved the land they grew on.
