On September 11, 2001, George W, Bush made powerful speech to the people of America discussing the act of terrorism that had occurred that morning. His speech went to instill peace into the minds of American citizens. His use of reasoning and George W. Bush uses reasoning to instill peace into the audience. He uses it to show his ability to control the situation at hand. Bush said “ The functions of our government continue without interruption, Federal agencies in Washington which had to be evacuated today are reopening for essential personnel tonight and will be open for business tomorrow. Our financial institutions remain strong, and the American economy will be open for business as well” to show that everything remains under control. He
