After considering running in both the 2008 and 2012 elections, George Pataki has finally decided to run for U.S President. Pataki attended Columbia Law School where he was the chairman of the Conservative Party of Yale Political Union. This established his love for politics and taught him useful debate skills. Beginning work as a lawyer, Pataki moved up to Mayor, then to State Assembly, then State Senate, and finally to Governor of New York. During his three terms as governor, Pataki’s policies were mostly focused on lowering taxes. His decisions regarding New York’s finances upgraded its credit rating at least 3 times during his administration (“Who is George Pataki?). Pataki is labeled as a progressive Republican.
